My current goal is to grow Global Solar Brokers into a leading highly successful solar project brokering company that can be trusted to deliver what we promise above our client's expectations.My secondary goal is to see the Australian business community and Governments embrace the benefits of solar as a matter of course in not only bettering their bottom line, but proving to the world that Australia is serious about meeting its climate change obligations. My third goal and perhaps the must important is to bring cheap power to all those who cannot afford it, whether in Australia or other parts of the world.Currently GSB has a number of projects underway from smaller 30kW -100kW commercial solar systems to larger systems above 1MW. Many like a 40MW development in the NSW Southern Highlands are in the preliminary feasibility stage, however the single biggest challenge is securing a power purchase agreement that ensures the viability of the project. In most cases GSB targets companies and local government areas where power can be directly supplied to the client. GSB currently has access to project funds through a variety of funding agents both within Australia and overseas. We are actively seeking partners through which we can use these funds to build medium to large scale solar systems/farms. Operational leases are available from 3 years to 20 years (subject the lending criteria being approved). Funds are available for projects both within Australia am overseas.Time and time again we have proven operational leases frees ups scarce capital investment funds and spreads payments over a set number of years at a fixed rate, making it easier to get project approval (even for government departments and councils). Operational leases make good business sense to me, with monthly payments often not much more than the current electricity bill, with innovative businesses getting the benefit of free electricity once the systems are paid off.
