In my part-time freelance work I am a fundraising consultant dedicated to resourcing social justice organisations. I am particularly passionate about the redistribution of power and resources to smaller charities and community groups where it's needed, and hope I can use my knowledge and experience to support this. With twelve years experience in the charity sector, I have worked for a range of charities and community groups with a particular focus on migrants' rights, systemic inequality, health and wellbeing and arts and youth projects. My broad experience also includes project and line management, as well as governance and organisational development. My fundraising consultancy is flexible and based around the needs of the client. I usually work with clients to grow or adapt sustainably, to achieve income targets, to enhance fundraising skills in the organisation and to support with strategic planning. I also work with artists to bring in funding and can act as an access support worker for Arts Council applications. I give free support when I have availability for grassroots groups and individuals - with a preference for marginalised, radical work. Always interested in:- learning from social justice movements and resourcing grassroots groups - collective healing and cultural practices of community care- arts as a tool for change - peer support and mutual aid - participatory education and action research - community organising- queering and decolonising horticulture - increasing access to nature for everyone- healing and community building with nature - protecting and building queer spaces as places for joy and healing- prioritising rest and care in the way we workI would particularly like to work with a Disability Justice charity/organisation in 2024.
