I am an APA Titled Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist, based in Perth, working at West Coast Health & High Performance Centre.I have a special interest in Sports Physiotherapy having experience with a variety of sporting teams. I have previously worked with high-level athletes in swimming, triathlon, cycling, basketball, elite junior rugby league, rugby union, water polo and winter sports. I am confident in the treatment and management of all sporting populations and have a particular interest in injury prevention/ injury reduction programs. A keen triathlete and cyclist myself, I enjoy treating and managing athletes of all abilities. I have experience with Bikefitting and enjoy combining the fine art with science. All athletes who attend for a Bikefit session undergo a musculoskeletal & strength assessment to ensure that they are strong and mobile enough to achieve their goals. It’s more than just finding that correct bike position, you have to be strong and mobile enough to maintain that position. After suffering numerous concussions, I am also passionate about concussion diagnosis and appropriate management and treatment strategies, ensuring a safe return to play for athletes of all ages. From experience and working in a variety of sporting environments, I have the ability to take all of my patient’s from an acute injury management phase, to gym-based strengthening and to elite performance. I also like to keep up to date with the latest in sports physio, sports medicine and sport science research, and am occasionally lucky enough to present my research at national and international conferences.
