I'm a Mathematics and Computer Science major at Eastern New Mexico University with a deep passion for math and a drive to tackle real-world problems. My GPA of 3.81 reflects my commitment to building a strong foundation in both mathematical concepts and programming. I'm excited to channel these skills into an actuarial role where I can solve complex problems and make a real impact.My love for math started early, and I initially thought I'd become a high school math teacher like my dad. However, discovering actuarial science in high school shifted my focus to a field where I could use my mathematical intuition and analytical skills in new and exciting ways.Throughout my studies, I've tackled Probability and Mathematical Statistics, Real Analysis, and Machine Learning coursework and completed projects in machine learning, database design, and web development. I've gained hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Java, and other data analysis tools.Beyond academics, my volunteer work has helped me develop strong leadership and organizational skills. As a Kids Kamp Counselor, I've planned and taught Bible lessons, while my time as a historical docent has enhanced my communication and problem-solving abilities.I've also traveled to 49 states and 14 countries, which has broadened my perspective and adaptability. I'm fluent in just enough French to order pastries and enjoy organizing and leading trips.I'm eager to bring my analytical skills, technical expertise, and problem-solving mindset to a dynamic actuarial team and contribute to meaningful results.
