I will be continuing my internship with the Office of Refugee Resettlement by taking on a new project: I will be conducting a literature review of refugee integration measures and recommendations for integration indicators that can be used to assess and track refugee progress toward successful integration in the United States. This involves reviewing a range of sources and analyzing them to arrive at recommendations. The main goal of my project is to determine what "success" looks like in resettled refugees.I will also be working on a secondary project, helping to create a collection of models of user-friendly evidence databases, mostly from the federal government's clearinghouse/database for stakeholders, such as schools, social services agencies, the public, etc. Working to help develop a “What Works” evidence clearinghouse that would enable refugee service providers to search for interventions that help refugees achieve economic self-sufficiency, integration, and other outcomes.

Performed at a variety of private events, including reunions and art galas. Provided guests with entertaining background music to elevate their event.

Assisted vet technicians and veterinarians in caring for animals with a variety of health needs, cared for boarded patients during non-business hours, and administered medications.

I reported to the director of The Office of Refugee Resettlement, a federal agency under the Department of Health and Human Services. I conducted extensive research analyzing United Nations surveys to create a profile to assist the office in their resettlement of Ukrainian Refugees under the Uniting for Ukraine Program. I presented my findings to an internal team to provide them with recent insights into refugee demographics and activities.
