I currently work at Ohio Environmental Protection Agency ( Ohio EPA), Division of Surface Water as an Environmental Specialist 2. I write permits for wastewater treatment plants and I specialize in pretreatment compliance.I graduated in May 2013 from The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering and minors in both Professional Writing and Environmental Science, During my years as an undergraduate, I interned for two summers at Honda of America, Mfg. in the East Liberty Plant. In summer 2010 I worked as a Safety Engineer intern and in summer 2011 I returned as an Environmental/Safety Engineer intern. Both positions were great experiences for learning about industrial processes and its environmental concerns/solutions. After graduation I worked as a temporary employee at EMH&T where I gained experience in construction development and AutoCAD.Aside from my academic achievements and employment background, I have been involved in multiple student organizations. For my senior year, I was the president of the Society of Environmental Engineers (SEE), an umbrella organization that creates a friendly, educational atmosphere among students and provides strong networks with national organizations-- American Academy of Environmental Engineers (AAEE), American Water Works Association (AWWA), and Water Environment Federation (WEF).I am still a member of all three of those professional organizations and, in order to learn more about the field of environmental engineering, I continue to participate in their events.
