I was born in Lexington, Kentucky but spent my childhood in various places including NYC, various areas of Mexico, and Kentucky. I attended a magnet school specializing in a Spanish Immersion Program. I am super fortunate and grateful for parents who saw the benefits of my childhood being diversified through travel and linguistic exposure. These experiences shaped and impacted so much of my life that I decided to go to the University of Kentucky pursuing a double major in Cultural Anthropology and Spanish. I studied abroad my last year of college, attending Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca, where I tacked on a certificate in Global Dynamics/International Studies.I have always been passionate about creating spaces that are diverse and inclusive. If I have learned anything from my time abroad it is how much each individual, work place, school, etc could benefit from perspectives outside of their own societal norms. I have utilized my bilingualism as an interpreter, an English as a Second Language Teacher, as well as providing businesses with bilingual admin support. I will always seek out opportunities to help people, cultivate places of kindness and inclusion, and use what proficiency in Spanish I have to overcome language barriers when possible. I am a very detail oriented individual who loves to budget, learn, plan, make and execute to do lists, and feels great satisfaction when crossing things off the lists I make.
