I am a commercial and legal specialist with particular expertise in oil and gas projects, mining and infrastructure, and innovative sustainable solutions. I have been recognised in the UK Legal 500 listings as a ‘Key Lawyer’ and ‘Rising Star’ in the energy sector, having accrued more than 14 years’ technical experience in this field. My practice has involved negotiation of complex international contracts across all major financial jurisdictions, and my transactional expertise is coupled with acting on extensive contentious engagements throughout my career.Most recently, I formed a pivotal part of the highly regarded Commercial and Energy, Power and Natural Resources teams at Haynes and Boone LLP, where I worked on offshore drilling contracts, wider oil and gas projects as well as a range of general commercial transactions.My career started in private practice at leading Australian commercial and energy firm HWL Ebsworth. I represented major contractors and service providers in the energy and resources sector, particularly in relation to the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI), and operation and maintenance (O&M) of floating oil and gas production facilities.I moved to the UK in 2015, where I gained valuable operational experience in-house at O2, providing cross-departmental support on all commercial deals and business-to-business sales, advising on risk and enabling new product and service developments. My work at Haynes and Boone LLP has ranged from projects involving the construction and employment of sophisticated offshore drilling units, such as ultra deepwater drillships and semisubmersibles, through to LNG carriers, FPSOs (Floating Production Storage and Offload facilities) and offshore support vessels.
