I have over twenty years’ experience working concurrently on high visibility marketing and event-based projects, in high pressure environments with prominent stakeholder interests. With a double major in marketing from the University of Queensland, I am skilled and highly experienced in Brand, Retail and Destination Marketing, having implemented and managed projects and campaigns for some of Queensland’s premier visitor destinations – from Brisbane’s Queen Street Mall / The City to the incomparable Sunshine Coast.Having worked for both local and state government entities in Brisbane Marketing (Brisbane’s Economic Development Board) and Tourism and Events Queensland (the state’s lead marketing, destination and experience development, and major events agency), I have the distinct ability to manage, and strike a balance between, multi-faceted stakeholder and consumer-facing needs. I have had the pleasure of working with mum and dad tourism businesses, local, national and international retail groups, property and major event bodies, regional tourism offices, local councils, advisory and community groups, creative and media agencies, local and national media corporations. My exposure to those that make marketing such a rewarding profession is both broad and significant.I am incredibly proud of having delivered a new brand platform for Brisbane’s CBD ‘The City’, working with countless retail and government stakeholders through a lengthy engagement process, whilst at the same time managing and implementing the marketing and event program for Australia’s largest free Christmas entertainment program ‘Christmas in The City’. This was achieved within a period of six months.
