I am currently a Computer Science Undergraduate at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I've been programming as a hobby since eighth grade, but began to focus on it more seriously after joining FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Team 13406 "Consistently Inconsistent" in my junior year at Dartmouth High School. As Lead Programmer for two years, I was responsible for writing clean, effective code to operate the robot both autonomously and under the influence of two drivers. As Co-Captain in my last year, I led the design our unique 3 degree-of-freedom arm and worked tirelessly to take advantage of its versatility with good programming. Our efforts paid off, as we were one of three Massachusetts State Champions! As a first-year undergraduate at Binghamton University, I was invited to participate in the First-Year Research Immersion (FRI) Program as a student researcher in the Image and Acoustic Signals Analysis stream. The experience expanded my knowledge of deep learning and artificial intelligence, but also invaluably improved my teamwork and technical communication skills. I also joined the Binghamton University Rover Team late in the year, where I began research into integrating real-time kinematic positioning with their rover to improve GPS readings, but my time on the team was cut short as I transferred to UMass Dartmouth for my Sophomore year.I am currently a mentor for my former high school's robotics club, where my duties include guiding robot design and teaching programming. I continue to program hobby projects with the purpose of both expanding my horizons and honing my skills, but I am actively seeking internship opportunities to grow in a professional environment.

Student Researcher - Fri Program Image And Acoustic Signals AnalysisBinghamton University Aug 2023 - May 2024Binghamton, New York, United StatesI was invited student to the First-Year Research Immersion Program to the Image and Acoustic Signals Analysis stream, where I worked with a team of five other students to research the use of generative AI in changing the season of a photo. Our goal was to do this in an unsupervised context, as obtaining paired data for the problem was highly infeasible. Additionally, we wanted our model to use quantitive conditioning to control the transformation in a way that was contextually equivalent to "more" or "less" of the target season. We researched this over the course of two semesters and created a pre-proposal poster that we presented at the FRI Poster Session at Binghamton University. -
Co-Captain - Ftc Team 13406First Sep 2022 - Jun 2023Dartmouth, Massachusetts, United StatesAs one of two Co-Captains, I led the robot design process and ensured that both small and long term goals were being set and met. I also was responsible for managing team finances and ensuring that we stayed within budget for the season. Our team was one of three Massachusetts State Champions in my season as Co-Captain. -
Lead Programmer - Ftc Team 13406First Sep 2021 - Jun 2023Dartmouth, Massachusetts, United StatesMy main responsibility as Lead Programmer consisted of writing Java code to control our robot both autonomously and under the influence of two drivers. Effective use of dead-reckoning with odometry wheels, finite-state machines, and adaptive control resulted in our team having exceptionally high scoring autonomous operation, outscoring many of our opponents at the Massachusetts State Championship. I also worked to create a well-organized codebase that the team could continue using and improving after my departure. Additionally, I was responsible for programming instruction at outreach events.
