Developed and co-designed a new fully modular flight simulator based on a real-time kernel and utilizes standard network protocols, written with ANSI C modules and a Perl Tk front-end. This project has grown out of my work on my experimental airplane, the Phoenix 2000. Some of the flight hardware was built on standard VME cards.

Designed the network infrastructure, selected and configured multiple Sun UltraSPARC servers, currently running Solaris8 for DNS, RADIUS, Apache web server and Q-mail. Installed and configured a, OpenBSD firewall, running a transparent bridge. Installed multiple MySQL data base servers with a Sun Disk Array, RAID, connected by Fiber Channel. Responsible for sales, installation and repair of Nortel phone systems and networks. Used Nortel Helmsman to trouble shoot problems / alarms on Nortel equipment. Designed, and implemented a version of TRACKER2, a database management system for computer monitor refurbishing. It was implemented as a Client / Server model with a web browser front-end and a MySQL back-end. The system tracked monitors from a purchase order to warehouse pallet shelving, moving and identification of monitors to the repair, testing, or refurb departments.
