I played the lead role in developing a full-stack mobile application to help users stay in touch with friends and family. In the application, "InTouch", users can create "Bonds"-- groups of people with a similar relationship to them-- and set how frequently they want to call them. For example, a user could create a Bond called "High School Friends", and set the calling frequency to after 5pm on Wednesdays. Then, after 5pm on Wednesdays, the user will receive a notification from InTouch. Pressing the notification will automatically dial one of the members of "High School Friends". My friend Patrick Daley gave me the initial idea. My other friend, Tonio Emrakoff, helped me build it. We used Figma to plan and wire-frame the application, React Native for our frontend, React Native Context for our state management, Node for our backend, and SQLite for our database. Other tools we used included jest for our unit and integration tests, github for our VC, and Expo for our beta-deployment.
