• Directed environmental/science/technology/policy and program development as member of team that created Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, first official economic group comprising economies on both sides of Pacific Ocean, 1989.• Drafted the strategy and briefing papers ensuring and informing participation by the President’s Science Advisor and the Assistant Secretary for Oceans, Environment, and Science at APEC ministerial meetings, 1995 and 1996.• Secured donation of two major artworks for APEC after extensive negotiations to satisfy bureaucratic and artistic requirements; recognized by Meritorious Honor awards, 1995 and 1997.
