Sound knowledge in qualified WPS for the special materials such as duplex stainless steel, austenite stainless steel, copper alloys.• Preparing and get approval documents such as Post Weld Heat Treatment, Bolt Torqueing & Flange Management, Hydrostatic & Pneumatic Testing Procedures, Chemical Cleaning & Flushing Procedures.• Prepare a marked up of P& ID drawings indicating the test limits. * Key Responsibility:• Prepare Inspection and Testing Plan (ITP), Non Destructive Test (NDT) plan, installation procedures for individual project depends on Owner, Class requirement and get approval.• Issuing Non-Conformance Report (NCR) and Site Observation Report (SOR) on deficiency found then follow up with subsequent inspections to verify and confirm the corrective action. • Coordinate with Project Team (PMT) on quality issues ensuring that all quality issues are highlighted.• Organize and liaise with the Design Department to discuss problem solving with regards to site issues where required.• Ensure validation date of all equipment and tools is monitor ensuring that they are properly calibrated and checked for accuracy prior being put to use.• Check and ensure all incoming material and equipment are compliance with Contract Requirements/ Purchase Order.• Review certificates of materials & equipment. My first vocation as a Hull QC Trainee Engineer and after one year (Jan' 2007 to Dec' 2007), promoted to Hull QC Engineer.* Key Responsibility:• Prepare project specific ITP & NDT Plan basing on specification and approved drawings.• Implement on all quality related procedures to ensure that all site activities are compliance with the approved method statement and inspection test plan.• Conduct check/ feedback to Design Department with regards to non-conformities and controversial issues on construction drawing; i.e. differing from Basic Design Drawing/ Specification.• Participate in the daily project meeting to line-out any significant technical and/ or quality issues.• Coordinate with the Client/ Class for the resolution of any site problems/ issues. Coordinate with the relative departments to close for non-conformance reports/ issues of Clients/ Class and report to QC manager.• Ensure inspection condition, drawing and document preparation of all works prior to any inspection undertaken.• Conduct dry-docking survey with Ship Classification Surveyor to develop the repair plans for steel structure renewal.• Perform all daily inspections and witness the required testing to ensure that the quality of construction is achieved and is also in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.• Perform hull inspection activities such as fit-up, visual final inspection on hull structure and tank test, vacuum test, tanks structural inspection, etc. Projects involved: • Project: Ship repair M/V Olympic Flair• Project: Conversion ship PCTC - Wallineus Marine • Project: Ship Repair for Bulk Carriers, Bulker Tanks, Floating Dock, Container Ship, etc.
