As a Publisher at Candid Creation Publishing, he has spent the last 2 decades coaching hundreds of aspiring authors to get their books written, published and distributed. A literary agent at heart, he enjoys nurturing and extracting the potential book out of every aspiring author. He believes that there is a book in every person, just waiting to be published. It comes as no surprise that he does not even restrict himself to a particular genre as he believes that authors can come from all walks of life, and are most compelling when they are themselves, writing about a subject that is close to their hearts. His hope to broaden the appeal of Singapore's published works continues to fuel his passion and creative flair for helping authors identify personally compelling narratives to drive their writing style. Apart from his personal beliefs in author expression, he also believes in a pragmatic aspect to publishing a book--personal branding--often stating that nothing produces instant credibility faster than giving away a book as a calling card.He is also the curriculum developer and lead facilitator for "So You Want to be an Author" workshop, where aspiring authors are propelled towards publishing success through the 6P Framework of Publishing. In recognition of his work as Best Publishing Partner, Kok Hwa was awarded the Best Personal Brand Award by the Marketing Institute of Singapore (MIS).As a Professional Action Learning Coach, Certified Executive Coach, Learning and Process Facilitator, Kok Hwa has served many organisations in both the public and private sectors across a wide range of industries. As an advocate of team effectiveness through evidence-based interventions, he has led Leadership Programs and Action Learning Programs in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region, helping teams to solve complex and strategic business challenges, while at the same time developing the individual, team and organisation. His professional journey culminated in him being awarded the International Coaching Excellence Award by World Institute for Action Learning (WIAL).
