Began position just as Ford was implementing its original PLM solution, I-DEAS/TDM/Metaphase, when few users at Ford or its suppliers had training or experience with PLM. Worked as business case developer working with key users to create Functional Specifications for the software customization and configuration, and use case “Methods” for users to follow in performing their jobs. Involved in training all CAD users at Ford and its suppliers for this PLM package, and supporting them on-site after training. Continued as Ford replaced TDM/Metaphase with VPM and then Teamcenter.Assigned as Instructor at in-house classroom UNIX facility, and ad-hoc training environments at Ford and supplier sites. Courses included system administration and installation of all PLM components, and end user CAD tools (I-DEAS and VisView) and PLM/PDM tools (TDM and Metaphase), and Ford Methods. As Lead Instructor, developed courses and classroom UNIX configurations to accommodate software development, and installation and implementation for Ford and Supplier on-site training. After completion of course overhaul project, began dividing time between Lead Instructor role with new assignment as on-site User Support for Ford and Supplier facilities. Assumed Tech Sales responsibilities selling courses and user assistance support contracts to Ford Suppliers. Involved travel and presentation around US and Mexico. Responsibilities included convincing Supplier managers of the advantages of the courses that we offered, and to effect modifications to course content to make courses more attractive to Suppliers. When Ford announced its switch from its original global PLM package, expanding its CAD suite to include CATIA V5 and CATIA V4 (Volvo) along with I-DEAS, and to replace TDM and Metaphase with VPM, and then subsequently with Teamcenter, I developed all courses for this new solution, “C3P-NG”.

The Lifetime Scholars Program operated out of Lawrence Tech University and then Wayne State University for ten years. We trained 150 Detroit-area High School students per semester & summer for the SAT as well as the basic math, grammar, and reading comprehension skills that form the bases for all rigorous academic fields. Most of our students were "at risk" and from designated "failing high schools". We produced data proving that such students attain academic excellence when rigorously drilled by subject matter experts who provide them encouragement, a detailed gameplan, and a suitable workspace.
