Purchasing electronic components, preferably Optical Transceivers from Asia.Place orders based on demands and inventory levelsPrepare spend forecasts Manage suppliers, negotiate best prices and terms, ensure on-time deliveryResolve conflicts with suppliersMaintain and update planning/purchasing with ERP systemEstablish a strong rapport with approved suppliers to obtain the best priceFollow up on shipment and deliveries and communicate changes to the appropriate individualsSource new parts, strategic sourcing, supplier development, program and cost management

Work with application and design engineering to forecast material need or determine purchase needs. Research alternative products and sources of component supplies for resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors and diodes.Analyze MRP report, compare prices and make vendor selections or suggest best vendors. Attend vendors meeting / New vendor set-up.Generate and track purchase orders or blanket purchase orders, and maintain vendors, items and pricing information in QuickBook, and ERP system. Responsibility for evaluation kit production and raw material purchasing. Participate in product cost reduction initiative, lead-time reviews, Po’s expedited, and follow up on past due order; ensure that materials, equipment, and supplies are ordered and delivered in a timely manner.Reconciled accounting discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices; audited receiving discrepancies between purchase orders and packing slips. Processes RMA’s, files purchasing documents.Assistance in the production of all products related documentation. Maintains company’s supplies and inventories. Perform all other duties, as assigned.
