Work with various Java/PHP projects using Spring, Hibernate frameworks and Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL databases for both desktop based and Web based applications. As a senior developer and technical leader, my responsibilities include:- Support pre-sale activities like building technical proposals for Java based requests from customer- Study customer's requirement, write functional design, detailed design documents- Propose, design, build technical solutions for projects. Build base code structure so others can start working- Manage technical activities within project like coding, unit testing, code review- Setup test environment, deployment scripts, CI environment (Jenkin, Sonar, Nexus), SVN server, Git server, etc.Interesting topics:- Javamail/GnuPG: One of the most challenging task during this period is building a Java based email solution which allows users fetch emails via POP3/IMAP and send emails with support for GnuPG encrypting, signing. Javamail doesn't provide support for encryption/signature so I needed to customize Javamail's output to include encrypt/signature data correctly. There were quite many format details which needs to be care of, especially for email with attachments.- PHP Dependency Injection: in 2008 when PHP project started, there was no PHP frameworks similar to Spring for Java so I built a small framework which used Service Locator pattern as base framework for my project. There were many things can/should be improved in that framework, but in general it did it job in helping us to decouple layers of the application.Technologies used:- Spring, Hibernate, JSF, Apache Axis, SmartGWT, PHP, etc.- Tomcat, Apache- SOAP, RESTful web services- Javamail integrates with GnuPG for encryption/signature- Database: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL- Platform: Windows, Linux
