At Carfax, I built new and improved existing applications to address the continuously growing SEO and traffic needs of Carfax's Used Car Listings marketplace. My role encompassed writing code in Go, Java, and Node while architecting and deploying services in AWS using Kubernetes, Terraform, Serverless, and Docker.Noteworthy Projects:CloudFront CDN - built an edge-distributed CDN that improved cache hit ratio, performance, and protection of the overall Used Car Listings website. Because of my experience on this project, I also provided consultation for other Carfax teams to help them achieve their specific CDN and edge computing needs.Microservice Rewrites - broke apart a Java Spring Boot monolith into Go gRPC microservices to modernize web service architecture, simplify business domain, and improve performance.Modular Batch Job - redesigned a costly batch application into a modularized, cloud-based ETL process so that Carfax's marketing teams could more efficiently iterate on and enact their advertising objectives.Customized Request Signing - designed a custom request signing process to prevent bad actors from abusing APIs and affecting site stability across Carfax's services. Also, supported infrastructure to provide secure key retrieval and key rotation.

At Accenture Federal Services, I oversaw the complete software development lifecycle of batch applications for a federal client. This entailed collaboration with stakeholders, writing code that adhered to best practices, and rigorous testing at numerous stages. I wrote batch jobs using Java 8 and Groovy while utilizing technologies such as Spring Batch, Hibernate, Spock, Oracle SQL DB, and LinkedIn's Azkaban. The data consumed by these batch jobs were sensitive in nature, so applications were built with strong adherence to security, reliability, and privacy principles.
