Leading a Chan Zuckerberg Initiative collaboration to study tissue development by genetically engineering light controllable cells that can regulate tissue patterning and differentiation via synthetic Notch receptors

• Engineered an optogenetic system capable of decoding frequency modulated light signals to multiplex cell responses and applied it to control tumor antigen presentation and study CAR-T cell response• Developed a Python program to automate the design of synthetic gene circuits by applying multi-objective optimization algorithms towards a cell signaling network model• Established imaging-based assays to profile protein-protein interactions and cell signaling processes using genetically encoded fluorescent biosensors
