At Bellese I manage software engineering teams and act as the technical lead for our program, helping to modernize applications for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). I oversee the technical direction of the team’s projects, manage 10 engineers performing Java API and UI development, DevOps, and database administration. Outside of my direct program, I assist with business development efforts and lead initiatives in the Engineering discipline company-wide. My work concentrates on linux based systems in virtual environments both on-premise and in the cloud, and automation via Chef, Terraform, Jenkins, and other tools. I also helped lead a migrations of our applications from a local data center to AWS.

I started with Forum Communications Company as the manager of their ISP and web hosting business, i29 Internet Services. The main duties were managing the linux servers and networks involved in the technical operations of the ISP, managing the help desk staff and most of the sales and day to day functions of the business. Over the 12 years in this role it expanded to also managing the linux infrastructure that ran FCC's 40+ websites and internal development processes, as well as expanding i29 from a dial-up internet provider to a WiMAX (4G) wireless internet provider. When FCC sold the i29 business in 2012, I remained with the company in the role of Network & Web Services Manager. In this role I continued to manage the web infrastructure, as well as the networking infrastructure for FCC's 30+ physical locations. I was also involved in PCI security for the company, managing the Google Apps platform that we used for email and collaboration, and overseeing the network evaluations and security.

I provided technical support of desktop users across MeritCare's clinic network via phone, email and in person. I started as a paid intern preparing desktop computers for deployment, building OS and software images, and installing desktop hardware. After 3 months I was offered a full time position in the User Support department providing support in the main hospital building. I moved to regional support, where I provided support to all of MeritCare's North Dakota clinics. This included weekly site visits and remote support while in office. While in this position I worked with remote transcriptionists, and developed a Visual Basic program that simplified and streamlined their process of connecting to dial-up internet and uploading their documents. I eventually moved to supporting the main clinic in Fargo.

At Sykes I provided phone support for computer and software manufacturers' customers. In the short time I was at Sykes before I moved away from Minot I was promoted to Team Lead for a large computer manufacturer's support group. I also helped develop a team intranet that contained resources for my team to more easily find information to help customers and streamline the support process.
