I have lived in Ouachita Parish most of my life. I graduated from West Monroe High School and then went on to further my education by attending Delta Ouachita Vocational Technical School. I completed the Receptionist Course offered through their Business Department. Upon completion, I began my career with State Farm Insurance, where I remained for almost 28 years. I did not relocate with State Farm when they left the Monroe area. I was a stay at home mom with our two children for five years. During this time I became a Mary Kay Consultant, which I still do today and also did some substitute teaching for the OPSB. My husband, Roger and I joined another another network marketing company - 7K Metals last year, which allows customers to purchase precious metal coins, bars and rounds. Marketing is optional, but does allow for a means of income if desired. In 2010 I was offered an opportunity to work in mortgage through a local bank. I am presently employed with Homeland Federal Savings Bank. I enjoy playing the piano, organ and singing.
