The culmination of the space is the thoughtful curation furnishings and artwork. As a board member for a non-profit art organization in Montgomery County, Maryland, my mission is to promote and support local artists and art. I believe there is great art in every community; you don't have to import it from somewhere else.Art brings joy to everyone's life, and it can help us understand social strife in the world. It's a personal and social expression that communicates human emotion, helps people grow, and expands their capacity for joy. To surround yourself with art is to bring a new emotional dimension to your life.Founded in 1987 as a grassroots organization serving local artists, VisArts provides children, teens, and adults with opportunities to express their ideas, develop their talents, connect with others, and enrich their lives.
