I'm a fiber artist. I got my start at eight years old when my grandmother taught me the beginnings of crochet. Through the years I continued the craft for a while and then would lay it aside. The last 5 years I have been very consistent with it.In the beginning I worked strictly from a pattern, then I learned to modify those to better suit what I wanted and now I design some things all on my own.I've given away so much of my work. There is nothing like seeing someone really enjoy something you created with your own hands. Now, I am turning something I love into a business.I've been teaching my son's girlfriend to crochet and she has a very real knack for it. She can see something in her head and make it come out through her fingers into a work of art.Seeing the two women in his life constantly in the need of yarn, my youngest son has now started to spin roving for us. So, from beginning to the end, our projects will be a family endeavor.
