Redesigned annual performance review process to emphasize conversations between managers and subordinates, reducing non-value added activity and increasing frequency of contact to improve employee engagement and productivity based on year-over-year results. Using influence and consulting skills, I rejuvenated the employee relations and staffing functions for Corporate Center operations, reduced spending and increased service levels. In my last role at Sempra, I led 3 departments – HRIS, Payroll, and the IT personnel supporting those functions – in a $12M HR and payroll system replacement and outsourcing project.• Turned around two departments that were poor performers. Increased service levels and re-focused staff on business requirements of internal clients.• Led HR and payroll system replacement and outsourcing project with direct responsibility for needs assessment, RFP, vendor analysis, selection, and implementation. Managed $12M capital budget, as well as oversight of the work of 5 direct reports and 45 indirect reports. • Conducted RFP and contracting process with external recruiters. I worked with parties representing disparate interests to find common ground and negotiated numerous settlements that had beneficial results for shareholders.
