Phyllis R. Scott (formerly Butler), Ph.D., CCC-SLPSpeech-Language Pathologist ꟾ Social Psychologist ꟾ Consultant at Thrival Communication Plus, LLC ꟾ I have 34 years of experience affecting lives by providing therapy and interventions to neurodivergent learners; advocating for them and their families; providing professional development for their teachers, service providers, and school leaders; and ensuring those learners have access to appropriate Section 504, Special Education, and other Federally Mandated Services. I am most known for my work through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE), and school districts in multiple states, including DODDs in Germany. I am passionately promoting the teaching of social-emotional communication competencies to improve Career Readiness Skills and Employability for young adults in the millennial and generation z populations.
