Reimbursement analyst for Cigna manage care insurances - identify and verify accounts are reimbursed at the contracted rate per the individual group plans; appeal payment variances using contract language, while supplying supporting documentation as necessary; identifying variance trends with the objective of finding payment resolutions; identify, verify variance credits, and requesting refunds where appropriate. While reviewing the related open accounts check status, along with, possible requests for additional documentation from payor. Contacting and educating 3rd party payors to ensure contracted Cigna rates are applied. Work with the Cigna provider representative to resolve account variances. Supply, review, and oversee Cigna Issues Log to provider representative once a month. Supply eligibility details to team members and insurance plan selection for individual patient accounts as requested. Share information of trends, issues, and problems with team members at meetings.
