Primary functions involve creating and maintaining provider appointment schedules and patient care coordination • Utilize multiple clinical applications software/databases to coordinate processes for inputting provider schedules and assigning appointments to patients for clinical care and research visits - Corporate Healthcare Systems (CHCS), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), and Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) • Collaborate regularly with physicians, clinic coordinators, and social workers to select appropriate provider profiles used to build, adjust, and edit schedules • Daily communication by telephone, email and in-person with patients to establish clinical care appointment times, research visits, and domestic/international travel coordination for evaluations, prescription refills, follow-up and enrollment into ongoing research studies • Maintain weekly electronic spreadsheets for the research phlebotomist for scheduling research patients for blood draws and research interviews • Support the research team by purchasing office supplies, labs and computer accessories using Oracle Business Suite.
