My name is Phyllis Cheng and I'm a senior at the Kelley School of Business, majoring in Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics. This past summer, I was an inventory analyst at Target HQ, where I was assigned to oversee and implement end-to-end operation solutions for inventory items in home care, cultivating my skills in problem-solving and overall exposure to client-facing operations.I have taken classes related to coding, data analysis, and MS Office, such as Python and R, Excel, and Access. In my free time, I enjoy golfing, a sport I once played at a competitive level, improving my discipline and resilience over the years. I thrive in environments that challenge me to think outside the box, and I always strive to come up with innovative solutions. I am a proactive learner and always seek new opportunities to learn and grow.Operations has always caught my eye as it has heavy involvement in many different sectors of a firm, whether it's client onboarding, payments, asset management, etc. Operations can delve into roles relating to transaction clearing and settlement processes, ranging all the way to trade support. This diversity of responsibilities within the operations field sparked my innate ambition to learn across the board.
