Phyllis Campbell is an independent advisor, with a focus on family business governance and CEO/ board effectiveness. She is passionate about the value of family-owned, private companies that last for multiple generations. She is herself a seasoned board member, having served on multiple public and private company boards. In addition, Phyllis is a strong advocate on the value of thought diversity in business, serving as a senior advisor for BoardReady, a nonprofit with a mission to diversify business boards.Phyllis also serves as a senior advisor to Egon Zehnder, a global leadership advisory firm.She served as a Vice Chairman and Regional Chair of the Pacific NW for JPMorgan Chase from 2009-2023. Previously, Phyllis was the President/CEO of The Seattle Foundation, the largest community foundation in the Pacific NW. Prior to that, Phyllis served as the President/CEO of USBank of Washington for over 6 years. She was elected to the Remitly(RELY) board in April 2023. She serves on the Air Transport Services Group(ATSG) board. Phyllis also serves on the Advisory Board of SanMar, a private, family-owned business.She is a member of the board of the Allen Institute and on the President’s Advisory Council for the US-Japan Council. Phyllis has an appointment as an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington Foster School of Business. She holds an MBA from the University of WA Executive MBA Program and a BA in Business Administration from Washington State University. In addition, she holds honorary doctorates from Gonzaga and Whitworth Universities.
