• Worked as a Configuration Analyst on the Virtual Clinical Data Repository conversion project. vCDR consisted of web-based central electronic patient repository, Clinical Display (CD) and Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) applications to provide real time access to patient demographics. Configured front-end screens using the Oacis framework; developed scripts using BeanShell, Built reports and forms using iReport; developed stored procedures.• Developed auxiliary application for vCDR that deactivated inactive users. The application was written in VB.Net 2005 with Sybase and SQL Server data stores.• Developed ADO.Net Web Service to access patient demographic data from the vCDR.• Maintained and enhanced an Access application used to track man-time expended on projects, application enhancements, project documentation, administrative activities, and support. Enhancement enabled the staff accountant to track changes to time slip entries after they had been billed to clients.

• Worked with WebMD/Envoy to develop customized applications for medical offices to extract data from their practice management systems to integrate into WebMD’s web-based lab ordering and reporting system—Clinician. Supported five practice management systems: AdvantX, Centricity, e-MDs, McKesson, and Prime Clinical. The interface eliminated the need for office staff to re-enter patient data into the WebMD Clinician application, thus saving time and preventing typing mistakes. Created a companion application that extracted patient insurance information from the practice management system and prepared an import file to be loaded into the client’s data slice in Clinician. Primary development tools were Visual Basic 6.0 using ODBC/ADO data access to various client server databases.• Developed and deployed for a Dallas-based consulting company, a multi-user Microsoft Access application that determined appropriate career options based upon specific user character traits/disposition.

Team member in the Advanced Applications Development group. Performed R & D in new development technologies and helped to deploy standards and training to other corporate development groups on web technologies. Led and participated in the development of several Intranet sites and client server applications. Primary development tools included Visual InterDev, Visual Basic, Visual SourceSafe, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, and Microsoft Access.
