As a Release Train Engineer (RTE) I am responsible for our agile release train with 4-5 development teams. We use the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to design our development process and I´m certified as scaled agilist. During end of 2016 and beginning of 2017 I was a member of the core transformation team when transforming our R&D department from a traditional staged gate waterfall project operation into lean and agile operation. My job is to lead the Scrum Masters of the teams, teach them in agile behavior and coach them in their job to build self-organizing and self-managing teams. I also plan and facilitate the events in the process such as planning workshops, synchronization meetings, system demos and retrospectives. I drive continuous improvement of the processes used on the agile release train and participate in ABB FACTS LEAN/Agile transformation program.

I´m the owner of the Configuration and Change Management processes at ABB FACTS. Since 20011 when I started my position here I have worked as Configuration Manager to introduce processes for configuration and change management. This was a new role at the company and required a lot of cooperation with users and managers during the design phase. The work included design, development and implementation of processes as well as training of users, mainly in Sweden and India.

Since 2011 when I started my position at ABB FACTS I have been responsible for implementing the Team Foundation Server (TFS) at the company. I´m the overall responsible for the tool and the processes around it.I have developed processes and routines for version and change control. Both for the code base managed by R&D and the code managed by the order project departments. The work has included setting up the software structures in the tool in close cooperation with the developers, doing adaptations in the tool to fit our process and keep training for the users in Sweden and India.

I am overall responsible for the release process and keeping the release plan up to date. My job is to plan the release dates together with the Product Owners and then to coordinate the content of the release with the responsible of the different platform areas. I assure that the parts to be released are managed for availability in all systems and described in the communication material. At the release date I communicate the release on the intranet and invite users to a release presentation.

Worked as Scrum Master in a development team developing a web based tool for internal use. In that team I was also one of the developers, programming in C#. Other tasks was to develop tests and test routines, manage releases and give support to users.

 I have a long work history within ABB where I started 1987 after finishing four years Technology Line, Electro-engineering Branch, in high school. Up until 2005 when I started my studies at Mälardalens Högskola in Västerås I worked as a control system engineer, software developer, system tester, project manager and process developer. The main part of the time I have been working within R&D but also with order projects. Working as a control system engineer included travelling to do commissioning at site and a great deal of customer contacts.
