With my interdisciplinary Ph.D. degree I have a solid fundamental training in molecular biology as well as biology. This combination has trained my ability for keeping an eye on the perspective of a project while showing attention to the molecular detail. I have always worked very independently and I am therefore used to manage all aspects of a project from determining the scientific questions to arranging and organizing the experiments, sample analysis, data processing, statistics and writing of the paper.Professional qualifications:- 4 years of experience with microbiome-and-host-interactions-studies in different model organisms (mice, pig, fish) and humans from planning and performing the experiment to sample collection and analyses as well as performing next generation sequencing and data analyses in R.- Excellent hands-on experience with many basic molecular techniques (QPCR, Western blot, cell culture, transfections, cloning, immunohistochemistry, ex vivo tissue culture).- Strong in experimental planning and statistics.- Well founded in molecular biology, immunology, microbiology and biochemistry.- Certified in Laboratory Animal Science.- Experience in writing big grant proposals to the EU and the Research Counsils- Experience in running several projects with many collaborators and students simultaneously.- 6 years of teaching experience mostly on master level courses (Lectures, laboratory exercises, and colloquia).
