As a secondary science teacher at Lithgow High School, I teach students in Years 7-10 and Stage 6 Earth and Environmental Science. My focus is on enhancing science literacy and numeracy skills by breaking down complex texts and utilising ALARM vocabulary. I integrate numeracy tasks into hands-on experiments, discussions, and collaborative learning activities, fostering an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to explore their curiosity about the natural world.I actively participate in curriculum development and assessment, aligning my teaching with educational standards and addressing diverse student needs. Working at Ironside Advanced Dental, a Specialist Prosthodontic dental practice has been an amazing experience. Here I have worked as the Dental Receptionist and have overseen scheduling, payments, appointment bookings and lots more. Having previous experience in Hospitality as well as in Dentistry has helped me ensure that patients feel well informed, comfortable, and ready for each appointment they attend. I have also assisted in the sterilisation room, ensuring that proper procedures were followed.Working at a Specialist Prosthodontic practice has also increased my understanding of a wider range of procedures, for example, understanding how to set up and work with different types of treatment plans.
