About Sang Shin

➤ MY PASSION:My passion for fighting against cancer began at a young age when both of my grandfathers passed away from the disease. As a result, I dedicated my life to understanding the genetic mutations that cause cancer and finding the most effective treatments for patients. I earned my Ph.D. in cancer biology and precision medicine, where I focused on drug screening using patient-derived cancer cells to determine the best course of treatment for individual patients.➤ MY JOURNEY:I quickly realized that automation was crucial for reproducibility and efficiency in research. I spent over a year developing and implementing an automated drug screening system, and this experience taught me the limitations of existing automation equipment and software. I knew that I had to do more, and I founded ABLE Labs with the goal of creating cutting-edge robotic technology that would help researchers in the field of biology to save time and money and get more accurate results.➤ MY ACHIEVEMENTS:For the past 7 years, I have been dedicated to product development for the bio-industry. I have developed and improved more than 20 automation products including an automated cell culture system, automated dispenser for organoids, automated CO2 incubator and more. As the CEO of ABLE Labs, I have a strong understanding and expertise in business case planning with automation solutions. I am proud to say that we have grown our team to 26 people and achieved more than 700 million won in product sales.➤ MY VISION:As we continue to grow, my personal vision is to make a significant impact on the world by providing researchers with the most advanced and innovative robotic technology. I'm also committed to expanding my network and connecting with other entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry leaders around the world, to share ideas and knowledge in order to drive even greater advancements in the field of biology.
