The Financial Control Commission is responsible for the internal audit of the finances of the Forum. It shall act in advisory capacity to the Board, Council of Members and the General Assembly on the allocation of existing resources in line with the strategic priorities and the work plan, as well as the identification of new resources. It will present a written report to the Council of Members and to the General Assembly with regard to the annual budget and to the accounts of the Forum.The European Youth Forum (Youth Forum Jeunesse - YFJ) is the biggest Youth Organizations-led movement in Europe and the World. It represents the voices of young people, by bringing together the most important youth platforms and movements that exit, catering for their needs and defending young people's rights towards the European Union, the Council of Europe and the United Nations.

The European Apprentices Network is a network of apprentices at European level, established in 2017 to make sure that the voice of young apprentices is heard in discussions related to VET, in particular for apprenticeships.The network is currently formed by individuals, selected through open calls in 2017, for a mandate lasting until the end of 2018. The diversity of profiles among members of the network allows to have in-depth debate and create comprehensive overview of voice of apprentices. EAN is formed by current apprentices and former apprentices, representatives of student structures and representatives of youth labour unions.EAN was created in cooperation of the European Youth Forum, OBESSU, and with the support of DG Employment of the European Commission.

As the European Youth Representative of the Flemish Community, I advocate for youth rights on the European level. I work together with 100 National Youth Councils and international youth NGOs from across Europe. We try to empower young people to participate actively in society and improve their lives by representing their interests towards the European Institutions, the Council of Europe, the United Nations and other partners active in the youth field.As the Representative from the Flemish Youth Council, my main task includes informing & representing the ideas of Flemish youth on European themes. Through workshops, round table sessions & events, I consult the Flemish youth. With their ideas & thoughts, we advise governmental institutions, politicians and policymakers and lobby for adequate youth representation.

Being an assistant editor of the current affairs show De Zevende Dag, I was in charge of preparing background material for the two hosts of the program.De Zevende Dag is a weekly Belgian television news/interview program broadcast on VRT. De Zevende Dag specializes in interviews with leaders in Brussels on issues of politics, economics, foreign policy and other public affairs, along with panel discussions that provide opinions and analysis.During the parliamentary break, I became part of the crew of the morning radio show 'De Ochtend' at Radio 1. My tasks included pitching news items, preparing interview questions and assisting the crew.

The National Union of Students in Flanders (VVS) represents more than two hundred thousand Flemish students. It serves on numerous boards at the regional level, such as the Flemish Education Council (VLOR), the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO), Flanders knowledge area and the Flemish Interuniversity Council (VLIR) among others.During my mandate, I was given the opportunity to accomplish a multitude of things. Hereafter, I mention some of them:*A reform of the organisation // The organisation dealt with numerous problems, all stemming from the fact that it let the membership play off against each other. As chair of the working group on internal structures, I managed to reform the institutional environment. I started my work with bottom-up talks and made it an organisation in which the membership could work in a more constructive & cooperative climate.*Writing of position papers // As rapporteur on several files, I was the author and co-author of many position papers "The Commercialization of Higher Education", "Online Learning", "The Reorganisation of the Academical Year", "On Language Policy".*Member of the General Assembly // As active and constructive student representative, I always defended the position of my local student council with great honor.

As rapporteur on the Commodification of Higher Education, I was in charge of writing an updated version of the organisation’s policy paper on the Commodification of Higher Education.

The Council of Higher Education is the official advisory body on higher education and training policy of the Flemish Community. The Council gives strategic guidance to the Flemish Parliament, the Flemish Government and their Ministers. Their publishings can be mandatory (when it comes about draft decrees on education) or non-mandatory (to bring certain specific issues to the attention of policy makers).As vice chair, I assist the chair and serve as chair in the absence of the chair. In doing so, I aim to bring the voice of every member of the Council into the discussion. Chairs are chosen amongst heads of universities and university colleges. Vice Chairs are chosen amongst the student representatives.Opinions are formed on basis of the input of the heads of universities & university colleges, students, the staff of the institutions and socio-cultural organizations. They are directly used in the Flemish Parliament or in the Committee of Education of the Flemish Parliament.

In recent years, participation of student representatives in Flanders is in the doldrums. Student representatives are increasingly facing difficulties to continue to combine their mandate with their studies. The Working Group on Student Participation focuses on this particular problem. It will investigate why students don't participate more in the higher education policy notwithstanding the broad range of facilities that are provided by their educational institution.

The Vlor (Flemish Education Council) is the official advisory body on the education and training policy of the Flemish Community. It plays a role in the policymaking process. The council operates independent of the Department of Education and Training and of the competent Minister. As student representative in this board, I try to align the goals of the Vlor with the interests of the Flemish students.

As the policy officer, responsible for Flemish affairs, I set out how the Ghent Student Council should position itself towards the National Students Union and the other Flemish student councils.I'm responsible for coordination and representation of the Ghent Student Council on the Flemish level, as well as the monitoring of the education portfolio.

The Ghent Student Council represents the entire student body of Ghent University. It serves on different boards, such as the Board of Governors, and operates at both regional and Flemish level. I’m currently holding a mandate in the Student Council as Vice President and as the Board Member of External Relations.

As a student employee, I attempt to satisfy the customers, at all times.As a student employee of the Contact Center, I approach the clients via phone to check on their customer satisfaction and to redirect them to one of our Financial Centers. The goal is to improve their savings and investment behavior.I occasionaly handle customer questions and complaints through the phone.

The Ghent University Association is an umbrella organization of the Ghent University and three university colleges: Hogeschool Gent, Artevelde Hogeschool & Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen.The association serves as a network, linking university colleges across East- & West-Flanders with Ghent University. The Association members strengthen each other by exchanging expertise and pooling resources, which enables them to improve the quality of their teaching and research.The Ghent University Association was founded in 2002 in response to the Bologna Declaration of 1999, which sought to increase synchronisation of higher education in Europe.As a student representative on the Board, I act on behalf of all students that are enrolled in one of the four institutions.

During my time in Strasbourg, at the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the Council of Europe, my main tasks were threefold. Firstly, I had to attend meetings, conduct research and write background notes on the topics discussed. Furthermore, I had to assist the ambassador and his deputy. Lastly, I had to contribute to the social media strategy of the Permanent Representation. In conclusion, I have been fully involved in the daily activities of the Representation and have contributed to both the internal and external flows of information.The Council of Europe is a leading, governmental, Human Rights organisation, mainly active on the European continent. It includes 47 Member States, 28 of which are member of the European Union. All Council of Europe Member States have signed up to the European Convention on Human Rights, a treaty designed to protect Human Rights, democracy and the rule of law.

My core tasks included preparing interviews for political guests, assisting the crew in composing the weekly summary, and compiling and summarizing the biggest political headlines of the week.
