    Urima makes interior design for A/A+ market segment in Venezuela for around 15 years. It manufactures most of the furniture that is being included in the designs that delivers to its customers under contract, aside with decoration accessories, rugs, paintings, curtains, wallpapers, etc. I was responsible for the company production which was in essence, project based running within a common factory process, then delivered and installed at customer premises. I was able to set up controls required for this environment such as third party job order control, production control, on databases. Several elements of furniture were redesigned to enhance its functionality, improve installability or logistics. Business/Production processes were mapped and improved, at the departmental level. At plant level, managed improvement projects as follows: 1) Increased power lines capacity, 2) managed third party suppliers to install company telephone PBX , computer network and server (specified and purchased by me), 3) install current integrated administrative system, and 4) configure and install the security system for the 700m2 showroom of Urima(defined &purchased by me). I was responsible as well for purchasing goods and materials from international sources.

    Designed a phone billing system (embedded H&S) for a 20 lines/ 100 extensions PBX. The system was the first design in this company with 18 design engineers to: 1) Be based on real-time operating systems, 2) Using high-level spartan language-PLM-, 3) State machine for man- machine interface, 4) using a special printing routine based on a 2 variable recursive function, 5) Have an heuristic routine to recover damaged records from a transmission line, 6) Top-down design and bottom-up execution. 7) Buffering data lines and reducing to 80% wide the strip lines in the printed circuit. The system was fit within 32KROM + 8KEEPROM + 8K base RAM +4x16KRAM switchable data banks for phone call records stored with ISAM (Total of 112Kbytes). The System had 2 operational modes, one for private enterprises(using an organizational tree for departmental accounting as well as individual extension or land line) and one for public telephone offices for billing international calls. It generated 10 different reports, automatically or on demand. The project was used by Microtel to foster new technologies within their R&D department.
