I am an international student from Cambodia, and I am currently in my first year of Bachelor of Pharmacy at Griffith University on the Gold Coast Campus. I have always had a great passion for human health, and I would love to learn more about how medicines work in the human body to treat the disease. Upon graduation, I would love to work in a community pharmacy to ensure that the individuals in the community could have good health and well-being as well as obtain the best healthcare service. I also would love to become a professor in which I could share my knowledge, and experiences, and guide the young generation through their learning journey.Through my studies, volunteer work, as well as past work as a pharmacist assistant in my dad’s pharmacy, I have developed certain transferrable skills that I believe would be crucial for my future career as a pharmacist.●Teamwork skills: Through various group projects and assignments in high school and university as well as my participation in several volunteer work during high school, I have worked and collaborated with people of diverse backgrounds, personalities, talents, and skill sets to achieve a common goal. These experiences have helped me to develop strong teamwork skills, become an active listener as well as could deliver a positive and supportive environment where all teammates feel comfortable contributing.●Communication skills: Back in Cambodia, during my free time, I used to work as a pharmacy assistant in my dad’s pharmacy assisting with customer service and stock control. I have learned how to establish a good rapport with individuals of different age groups and how to respond effectively to the client’s needs and questions. In addition, I also believe that my communication skills also improved significantly through the frequent presentations in high school.●Organizational skills: During my studies in high school and university have made me become a well-organized person by making clear goals, timetables, and study plans as well as prioritizing important tasks in order to obtain good results in my study.
