My name is Pichpidor Chou. I am an international student studying Bachelor of Pharmacy at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. I come from Phnom Penh, Cambodia which is a small country located in Southeast Asia. I am multilingual as I can speak four languages, including Khmer, English, French, and Chinese (Malaysian and Mandarin). I have always had a strong inclination towards health and sciences since I was a juvenile and I found that a career as a pharmacist is extremely exciting as it offers opportunities for patient care, scientific research, and innovation.Through my past work as a pharmacy assistant back in Cambodia, I have learned a lot and developed transferrable skills.• Interpersonal skills: As a pharmacy assistant, my main task is to respond to general inquiries, provide exceptional customer service, and establish a good rapport with the clients through verbal communication.•Organizational skills: In addition to building a strong connection with the clients, I am also responsible for stock controlling and ensuring that all the shelves are stocked with products and display the medications accordingly for the consumers.• Collaborative skills: Throughout middle school, high school, and university, I have participated in various group projects. As team members, we all have to work together and learn how to communicate effectively so that our work can run as smoothly as possible and achieve desirable outcomes.
