Pierce Thomas is currently working for Hybrid Robotics Inc. as its Production Manager. In this role he oversees its production of maritime robotic products. He is a graduate of Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, Michigan. He holds two degrees in Engineering Technology with an emphasis on Unmanned Aerial Systems and Marine Technology. During his career at the college he was able to lead a UAV based competition team, write a grant for new equipment to be utilized in both programs, and travel to London and South Africa to spread awareness about UAVs by flying for anti-poaching efforts. During his final semester he was asked to become a UAV instructor, teaching new students how to fly and utilize UAVs. With the increasing interest in UAVs he hopes to promote and educate the public on how UAVs can revolutionize the aviation industry.
