I bring over 30 years of investment industry experience with major corporate entities and regional firms in the North American capital markets to my position as Chief Financial Officer at RW Smith. As CFO of RW Smith, a leading fixed income interdealer broker, I reorganized the financial control division resulting in a six-figure savings per year to the firm; managed/maintained a $3 million fixed-income portfolio, and managed a fixed-income trading desk with a $5 million trading line. Prior to my promotion to CFO, I was the Chief Compliance and Risk Officer for RW Smith responsible for policies, rules and regulations adherence across the ten office nationwide network.I have extensive hands on knowledge in financial control, trading and sales, compliance and product development. While working for RW Smith I also served as a consultant to a Bermuda based insurance company for fixed income portfolio investment holdings relating to the structures, duration and tax consequences within the United States.I was hired by Seattle-Northwest Securities to open an Intermountain West regional office for the firm and to act as their national short-term trader and underwriter. I established a significant short-term presence for Seattle-Northwest in the marketplace, as well as creating and implementing the institutional sales force training program on short-term product information and sales techniques. I also initiated a profitable new VRDN program for Seattle-Northwest, thereby increasing departmental margins and overall profitability.Preceding Seattle-Northwest Securities, I was the head trader of the short- term municipal trading and underwriting desk at Zions National Bank. While working at Zions I more than doubled the production of the profit center.
