Pierce’s first encounter with film production was in the summer of 2010 when he attended the Flatlands Film Workshop where he produced a short film to be exhibited the following fall at the Flatlands Film Festival. He distinctly remembers conceptualizing the pivotal shot of this film utilizing an art exhibit displayed at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts, and the experience opened his eyes to the creativity of filmmaking. During his time at Lubbock High School, he retained his love for production when he became a Student Producer for LISD-TV, achieved Certified Associate in Adobe Premiere Pro, and competed at the 2016 Student Television Network national conference. In college, Pierce initially enrolled at the University of North Texas where he spent a semester as Lead Editor/VTR Operator for the Lone-Star Emmy awarded North Texas Television, one of only two live-to-air, student-led news broadcasts in Texas. After a lackluster freshman year at UNT, Pierce eventually made his way back home to Texas Tech where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Creative Media Industries and a Certificate in Motion Picture Production. Now, he is the proud producer for KAMC's Good Morning Lubbock, the most content-heavy newscast in Lubbock.
