Investigation on the effects of laser patterning of conductive adhesives.Supervisor: Edsger SmitsLaser Induced Forward Transfer (LIFT) was used to print thermally sensitive, electrically conductive adhesives with and without using an intermediate dynamic release layer. The project was aiming at investigating how parameters of several lasers would affect the patterned conductive adhesives. Electrical interconnections for flip chip and surface mount devices were formed using this technique as a proof of concept and were characterized.
