2024- : Co-Leader of the EDIFICE department (Biology of Viral Infections: Emergence, DIFfusion, Impact, Control, Elimination) of UMR MIVEGEC (Maladies Infectieuses et Vecteurs : Écologie, Génétique, Évolution et Contrôle, at IRD (Institut de la Recherche pour le Développement).2022-2024 : Leader of the “Viral Zoonoses and Neglected Tropical Diseases” team in the EDIFICE department of UMR MIVEGEC (IRD).2017- : Co-Leader in Gabon of the “EBO-SURSY - Capacity building and surveillance of viral hemorrhagic fevers” project. This large-scale study, funded by the European Union via the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), aims to promote the improvement of early detection systems in wild animals in West and Central Africa, using a “One Health” approach to prevent Ebola virus disease but also outbreaks of other emerging zoonotic diseases. The project, which brings together the Centre de Coopération Internationale en Recherche Agronomique pour le Développement (CIRAD), IRD, Institut Pasteur and WHOA, is being carried out in ten countries in West and Central Africa.2016-2020 : Head of the ESF (Entité Scientifique Fonctionnelle) “Biology of Zoonotic Virus Dynamics” (BDVZ) of the SEE (Santé/Ecologie/Evolution) team within UMR MIVEGEC at IRD.2002-2007: Coordinator of the “Kesho Bora” multicenter clinical trial funded by the French National Agency for Research on AIDS and Viral Hepatitis (ANRS) and piloted by the World Health Organization (WHO) on the prevention of HIV-1 transmission via breast milk in sub-Saharan Africa.
