In charge to assist the deployment of LEAN & Operational Excellence based project on the vessels of Bourbon Offshore worldwide.

As a certified LEAN Six Sigma Green belt I have to put in practice the LEAN methodology and lead projects through the DMAIC phases in order to reach operational excellence.

As Chief Officer I'm second in command on the bridge team. I’m responsible for the supervision and management of deck departments, navigational watch keeping and stability aspects of the vessel. I’m in charge of management of the galley, catering and housekeeping duties. I must plan and supervise deck related operations including the loading, stowage, securing, and discharge cargo items. I’m responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all safety, fire fighting, other emergency equipment and deck equipment. I have responsibility for ordering deck stores, parts and consumables. I ensure that the vessel’s medical supplies, medicine chests and related stores and equipment are maintained in good order. I am responsible for the good application of the SMS on board and the respect, by the crew, of the policies and guidelines defined by the compagny QMS. I assist the captain in managing the ship on a day to day basis and report to the head office as per requirement.As a Senior Dynamic Position Operator, SDPO, I'm in charge of the watch while the vessel is on DP with the assistance of the DPO. I have to assess the good working condition of the DP system and be able to react in case of any problem or loss of position. I am also in charge of the DP maintenance.
