I'm an entrepreneur at heart, I've been running businesses for over 25 years, and at the same time, hockey is my passion! I first played for Collège-Français de Verdun in the QMJHL and then at university level with the McGill Redmen in the Quebec University League. The first company I launched with my partners was Sportech, founded in 2002, a highly innovative startup that focused on digital signage in public places and at events, in the era before iPhones and iPads. This 1st company (Sportech) led to the birth of Groupe Viva in 2009, a specialist in digital experiences to energize the customer experience in retail, service and public venues of all kinds. In early 2015, after 13 years of existence and in full expansion, we sold Groupe Viva to Montreal-based Stingray, and I remained president of the Digital Experience branch for 5 years. Throughout the evolution of Sportech and Groupe Viva, hockey remained a passion, and in 2010, with my friend and ex-teammate Joel Bouchard, we inaugurated the Centre d'Excellence Sports Rousseau in Boisbriand.This initiative gave birth to the Joel Bouchard Academy Hockey Camps and the QMJHL's Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, in which we are still shareholders in 2023.In 2014, I had the opportunity to acquire the first franchise of the famous Sports Rousseau store with my partners, in St-Hubert. Other branches were added over time: Repentigny, Boisbriand, Laval and Pointe-Claire.In 2020, just before the COVID, with other partners, we launched a CRUNCH Fitness training center, again in Boisbriand. And in 2020, we acquired Urben Blu, a company specializing in the manufacture of smart public restrooms, prefabricated in our Boisbriand plant and for which I am still President in 2023.
