Validation of satellite measurements of carbon monoxide with the IASI sensor.This sensor flies on the MetOp satellite, which covers the earth 2x/day (morning and evening). The measurements are transformed into concentration via 2 algorithms: SOFRID which is our own algo, developed at Laero, and FORLI, which is developed by ULB and LATMOS. I validate the results of these two algorithms with measurements made by airliners (IAGOS programme) over the period 2008-2020. I worked on the modelling of river temperature at the regional scale (Maine River catchment). My goal was to improve the T-NET model, developped during the PhD of Aurélien Beaufort.T-NET uses the equilibrium temperature concept to compute Tw for each reach of the watershed. Energy balance is modelled; groundwater and river discharges are provided by BRGM's EROS model. Advection and mixing at confluences are taken into account.I focused on the improvement of the solar radiation model of T-NET by using LIDAR data to characterise the riparian shading over the Loir river.Tools: Matlab, QGIS, ArcGIS, GRASS GIS, Linux command shell (Bash), Python, C++Tasks: Literature review, execution and modification of a physical-based river temperature model (C++), processing of input and output data with matlab, analysis of temperature measurements and establishment of empirical models, presentation of results, writing a scientific paper and thesis manuscript, teaching.
