In the early 2000's, Pierre was the first supply chain practitioner to become a procurement "industry analyst" as the VP of supply management research at AMR Research (now part of the Gartner Group) where he provided trusted counsel to procurement executives, business leadership, IT, and the solution providers who serve them. Most recently, he was the head of procurement research and adjunct business advisor at The Hackett Group, where he helped expand Hackett's procurement benchmarks and research studies while growing the Procurement Executive Advisory Program into a gold standard membership-based procurement advisory service in the market today.

I help lead the development of research and best practices at Public Spend Forum to help public sector organizations adopt best practices and operating models from all sectors of procurement and the supply chain, regardless of industry. I also serve as an advisor on the US Leaders Best Practices Exchange - a community of chief procurement officers and other executive leaders within the public sector and social sector.

Helped establish and grow Hackett's membership based executive advisory program from a handful of firms to well over 100. Led the overhaul of Hackett's intellectual property related to procurement benchmarking, capability maturity models, and analysis frameworks. Worked as an executive advisor with CPOs and their teams along their transformation journeys.

Led Procurement, Supply Management, and inbound supply chain research and advisory services prior to AMR's acquistion by Gartner. Was the first IT industry analyst focused exclusively on Procurement and wrote the first procurement provider rankings report. Wrote hundreds of research pieces. Coined the term "guided buying". Provided counsel to procurement organizations (and their IT partners) Fortune 500 corporations to make smart choices on applying best strategies, practices, and tools/services.
