I began my career at Tractebel in 2004 by integrating for one and a half year the I&C maintenance teams of the Nuclear Power Plant (PWR) of Tihange (Belgium). This experience allowed me to actively participate in the various audits carried out by the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO Peer Review) and by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) within the framework of an Operational Safety Review Team (OSART) mission.Building on this on-site experience, from 2006 to 2010, I was able to assume the role of On Site Team Leader, Contract Manager, Expert and Project Manager by carrying out various I&C projects of replacement or modification of instrumentation and control systems. In 2009, I became Nuclear Safety Officer for Belgian nuclear power plants for I&C nuclear competence. This allowed me to draft a number of safety refrentials and to ensure compliance with nuclear safety requirements and regulations (IEEE, IEC, RG USNRC, etc…) on various I&C equipment replacement and qualification projects. In 2012, I joined the life extension program of the Tihange 1 nuclear power plant, assuming the role of group leader instrumentation and control-command. The team has carried out several qualified life extension studies on various equipment and has carried out the replacement and addition of several 1E classified equipment. In 2017, I was appointed Key Expert Tractebel in the field of instrumentation and nuclear control-command. This appointment also pushed me to promote specific aspects of nuclear I&C technology through participation in the teaching of nuclear technology in an Engineer School.
