Hi, I'm Pierre E. Rutledge, a dedicated professional deeply rooted in the Miami community. My journey began at Archbishop Curley-Notre Dame High School, culminating in 1982, setting the stage for my academic and professional pursuits.Education has always been a cornerstone of my life. I joined the freshman class of Florida A&M University in 1982 and earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1987. This foundational experience not only honed my business acumen but also instilled in me the values of leadership and service. In 1996, I furthered my education at St. Thomas University, where I received my Master of Science in Management, specializing in Public and Human Resource Management. Currently, I am a Doctoral Candidate at Nova Southeastern University, pursuing a degree in Educational Leadership Administration. These academic milestones have profoundly shaped my professional outlook and approach.My career with Miami-Dade County Public Schools epitomizes my commitment to educational excellence and community service. Since 2008, I have been serving as the Director of District/School Operations, overseeing key aspects of school management and operations. This role has allowed me to contribute significantly to the development and implementation of educational policies and programs that positively impact students and educators alike.Previously, I held the position of Director of Community Development & Public Outreach, where I was instrumental in advancing school improvement initiatives. My tenure at Miami-Dade County Public Schools also includes roles in Grants Administration and Federal Legislative Affairs, and as a Coordinator in Legislative and Labor Relations. Each of these positions has offered me unique opportunities to advocate for and effect change within the education sector.My civic involvement mirrors my professional dedication. I have been appointed to various boards and councils, including the South Florida Regional Planning Council, Banyan Health Systems, and the City of Miami Housing and Commercial Loan Committee. As a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and a 33° Master Mason, my commitment extends to fraternity and community service.In essence, my career is a testament to my passion for educational leadership and community enrichment.
